The aim of the project is to support the high quality of economic research at Charles University (CU) and the cooperation between its workplaces engaged in economic research: CERGE and IES. Financial support from UNCE will help to maintain a stable background for young, talented academic economists at CU and support closer cooperation among senior and junior scientists. The project will focus on the research of behavioural phenomena and methodologies in modern social sciences and, in particular, in economics. The project will produce new scientific knowledge publishable in prestigious international journals. An excellent research base will increase the attractiveness of the workplaces and enable deepening cooperation with prestigious foreign workplaces, and strengthen the interest of graduates from leading foreign universities to start their careers at CU. This project is a follow-up of a very successful previous UNCE project, which regularly received the best achievable evaluation (A) within CU. A close connection should be noted between the project and the excellent ranking of economics at CU (consistently among the first 150) in the Shanghai Ranking of World Universities.
